Your own island feeling
Chalets nestled into the bush so it feels private, yet sea, pool and restaurant are all a stroll away.

A tiny, family-run lodge where the Indian Ocean is at the bottom of the garden and Lorraine already knows your name. Six chalets, warm water, and a welcome you thought had gone out of fashion.
Remember when a guest house meant guests in your home — a shared meal, a laugh around the table, someone who noticed you’d had a long drive? That’s the welcome we never let go of.
Sol De Ligogo is small on purpose: six self-catering chalets tucked into the shoreline bush, forty-six beds at the very most. Small enough that Bill learns how you like your seafood and Lorraine remembers the kids’ names by day two.
“Our door’s open — come find out what you’ve been missing.”

Each one is fully self-catering with its own kitchen, braai and covered parking — and the shoreline is only ever a short barefoot walk away.

Every chalet has a proper kitchen and a fridge-freezer for your catch — or leave it to the restaurant.
What’s included →
Your own braai right beside the chalet — because a fire with a sea view is the whole point of Moz.

Crayfish, prawns, mussels, line fish — cooked to perfection is the only standard the kitchen keeps. And then there’s Bill’s fresh crab curry, which people have been known to plan whole trips around.
Don’t feel like cooking? Let us cook for you. Don’t feel like pouring? The bar does beer, wine, spirits — and a proper Mozambican R&R.
Peek at the menu →Whether you’re six or sixty, the coast has something for you. Or master the fine art of doing absolutely nothing.
A sheltered bay and a proper ski-boat launch — bring the boat, it’s a fisherman’s paradise.
Warm, clear water over a living reef, teeming with fish and coral just off the shore.
Playful dolphins year-round; migrating whales breaching in season if you time it right.
Long, wave-swept shorelines made for slow mornings and pockets full of shells.
A semi-shaded pool and ocean-facing deck for when the sea feels like effort.
Grill your catch, pour something cold, watch the sun go down. Repeat nightly.
